Following the Kings’ 45-minute morning skate at Staples Center in advance of tonight’s Game 5 vs. the visiting San Jose Sharks, here’s what defenseman Matt Greene had to share…
On what he did yesterday to clear his head:
“Not too much. Just stayed down for a bit, did some treatment. I guess it was all aboyt today, getting ready, getting ready to go into battle tonight.”
On the mood of the room today:
“It’s good. It should be business, got to get out and get a win. And that’s it. It’s a three-game series right now, and just got to get after it. You could be in better situations, could be in worse. So just go out and approach tonight as what it is, which is one game, and we have to win.”
On home ice advantage:
“That doesn’t mean anything, all the stats you guys dream up all the time for us, it’s just one game at a time. That’s it. That’s what it’s been all year, that’s what Darryl harps on. It doesn’t matter. game days are game days doesn’t matter who you’re playing next or where you’re playing next. It’s all about tonight.”
