Pics and video from Anze Kopitar’s second game in Sweden

On Saturday we gave you pictures and extended video of Anze Kopitar’s first game in Sweden, where he was playing on a line with his younger brother Gasper. They won that contest 5-4 in a shootout, after rallying from two goals down late in the third period.

Earlier today they returned to action – this time on the road – taking on Patrik Berglund (St. Louis Blues) and his Västerås teammates. Mora IK was again successful, winning 6-2. Anze picked up his first goal overseas and added three assists, finishing the game with a plus-2 rating, four shots on goal and winning 10-of-17 faceoffs (59%). Gasper also had a goal in the first period.

Interesting tidbit, on hand to watch the game was recently-retired Detroit Red Wings legend Nicklas Lidstrom.

Here’s some pics from the game, followed by video highlights…

The Kopitar brothers and Mora IK will return to action on Thursday.

If you missed it, be sure to check out today’s MayorsManor radio here. Our special guest was new LA Kings assistant coach Davis Payne. It was a fascinating conversation, covering topics like – Dustin Penner blackmailing him, his relationship with Bill Ranford, interviewing at Darryl Sutter’s ranch in Alberta, playing at the old Forum in Inglewood and much more.
