Manchester Monarchs full training camp roster and schedule

Well, the Kings should be getting ready to play a pre-season game tonight in Denver. Obviously that isn’t happening due to the NHL lockout.  So far, Anze Kopitar is the only Kings player to sign a deal in Europe (pics and video of his second game over there were posted on MM yesterday). Plus, as we first reported, Dustin Brown has received offers from several teams and Alec Martinez does have some feelers out.

Usually, one of the most exciting elements of training camp is the opportunity to see the Kings top prospects and monitor their improvement. Again, due to the lockout, the youngsters didn’t come to LA this year. However, camp is set to open this weekend in Manchester, the Kings’ AHL affiliate.  Here’s a look at who will be there:

Forwards: Andy Andreoff, Marc-Andre Cliche, Richard Clune, Robbie Czarnik, Justin Johnson, Brandon Kozun, Stefan Legein, Andrei Loktionov, David Meckler, Jordan Nolan, Brian O’Neill, Tanner Pearson, Nikolay Prokhorkin, Tyler Toffoli, Linden Vey and Jordan Weal.

Defensemen: Andrew Bodnarchuk, Andrew Campbell, Nick Deslauriers, Thomas Hickey, David Kolomatis, Jake Muzzin and Slava Voynov.

Goalies: J.F. Berube and Martin Jones.

The Monarchs are scheduled to take the ice for the first time on Saturday for drills, with their first exhibition game slated for Friday, October 5 vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.  Their regular season campaign opens up on the road vs. the Providence Bruins on Friday, October 12.
