Contest: First Goal – May 1 game and leaderboard

There’s just one game on the schedule tonight.

However, things are moving right along in the playoff edition of the MayorsManor First Goal Contest (originally announced here). Basically, each morning we’ll post the games scheduled for that particular day and you need to guess who will score first in each game. The MM reader with the most correct submissions at the end of the playoffs wins their choice of an LA Kings signed stick or jersey. Simple enough, right?

To make things a little easier, you can even take a player from BOTH teams. For example, here’s what an entry would look like for the games scheduled today, Tuesday 5/01/2012:

New Jersey (Parise) at Philadelphia (Simmonds)

The maximum number of correct entries today would be one, as you’re trying to guess the first goal in the game – not for each team.

Here’s a quick look at our leaderboard, for games played through 04/30/2012:

8 correct entries – two people tied (Chelsea, Griffin)

7 correct entries – two people tied (Colo Kings Fan, Janelle)

There are also a bunch of people with 3, 4 and 5 correct entries. That leaves plenty of opportunity for anybody to still win the grand prize because we are a long, long way from the end of the playoffs. Even you only have one correct entry thus far, it will just take a few lucky guesses to put you right in the thick of things.

Please place your entry below.

Good luck!
