For the seventh time this season, Ontario and San Jose will faceoff on Friday night. It’s a rematch of last week’s game, where the Reign skated to a 6-1 victory on home ice. Tonight comes in NoCal at the Barracuda’s sparkling new arena.
Much has changed in the seven days since the two clubs last played, largely due to injuries and activities surrounding the NHL Trade Deadline.
LA traded away forward Austin Wagner and defenseman Fredrick Allard in deals reviewed here:

Further, Toby Bjornfot — who had been out with the Kings on their East Coast road trip — has returned to the Reign and is expected to be on the blueline tonight. And, after sitting out last game, Kings prospect Helge Grans should resume his spot among the defensemen.
Unfortunately, forwards Sammy Fagemo and Alex Turcotte remain out. The latter has missed several weeks now following an injury suffered on this play. From what we’ve heard, neither player has resumed skating just yet.
Goaltender Matt Villalta is expected to get the call in net. Up front, based upon the line rushes at practice yesterday (which was used to create the projected lineup below), we should have a pretty good idea of what to come tonight.
