For the first time this preseason, coach Todd McLellan will take his team to their home arena in downtown LA for a game. In advance of the Kings matchup vs. the visiting Arizona Coyotes at Staples Center, here is the projected lineup:
LA KINGS PROJECTED LINEUP vs. ARIZONA COYOTES on 10/5
Brown – Kopitar – Arvidsson
Kempe – Danault – Iafallo
Tkachev – Vilardi – Andersson
Moore – Byfield – Kupari *
Other options: Lemieux, Wagner, Grundstrom, and Lizotte
* UPDATE: We received indications earlier in the day that Kupari would likely play. Given that he wasn’t recalled from the AHL by the afternoon deadline, we’ll assume he’s out tonight, and will play tomorrow in Anaheim instead.
Anderson – Doughty
Bjornfot – Roy
Edler – Walker
Other options: Wolanin and Strand
Quick (starter)
Petersen
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 pm tonight and the game will be televised on Bally’s Sports Network, as will all remaining Kings preseason games.
