After teasing it for quite some time, we can now pass along full details surrounding next month’s NHL Rookie Faceoff. As expected, the same six teams from the past few years — LA, Anaheim, San Jose, Arizona, Colorado, and Vegas — will participate, with each team playing three games.
While the debut event in 2018 was held exclusively at the Golden Knights training facility in Summerlin, followed by the 2019 tournament being housed at the Ducks new training facility in Irvine, things will be spread over two buildings this time around.
All games featuring the host Arizona Coyotes will be played at their regular home arena in Glendale, with remaining games contested at the team’s training facility in Scottsdale (about 30 minutes east of the arena).
The entire event will be open to the public and ticket information can be found here. For those unable to attend in person, games will also be streamed live on the websites of both teams playing in each game.
Prior to leaving for Arizona, the Kings traveling squad will skate at TSPC in El Segundo on the morning of Thursday, September 16.
