Justin Williams on if there was a different intensity tonight because it was a division game:
“It’s a different type of intensity because they’ve established themselves as the best team int he Western Conference so far this season. We needed a come from behind win, and we got it. It took us 64 minutes, but eventually we got it done.”
Williams on the key to shutting down the Sharks:
“It’s a battle. There is not a free inch of ice out there, it seems. You have to work for everything, especially in the offensive zone against them.”
Joe Thornton tonight’s game:
“Both teams played good. They obviously played last night, and for them to come back and play. They played very well at home. Both teams had a good night.”
Thornton on losing three, one-goal leads:
“It was a tough call on the too many men on the ice on the last one. We would have liked to finish them off and grab the two points. I thought we played well and probably deserved better, but that’s the way it works sometimes.”
More to come shortly, including Kings coach Darryl Sutter.
