MayorsManor First Goal Contest: Game 29 – Coyotes at Kings, again

The second night of back-to-back games between the Kings and Coyotes at Staples Center also brings an end to our latest contest with Fathead.  So, if you want in, be sure to enter!

After Monday’s 4-0 victory, LA has now taken two of the three games played against Phoenix this season.  It also marked the first shutout for goaltender Jonathan Quick this year and the first NHL goal of Tyler Toffoli’s young career (watch the replay and read his comments here).

Now it’s up to you.  Correctly guess who will score the first Kings goal in the re-match tonight and you could win a huge Stanley Cup themed Fathead for your wall.  Show your support for the player of your choice – take Jeff Carter, Dustin Brown Mike Richards, Anze Kopitar, Dustin Penner, Alec Martinez – anybody you want.  Just know that Drew Doughty hasn’t scored a single goal yet.

So, how do you play?

STEP 1 – Click HERE here to see the prize you could win. Pick it out ahead of time. Do you know which Fathead you would claim as your own? When you do, you’re ready to move on…

STEP 2 – Place a comment below with the LAST NAME of the LA Kings player you think will score first vs. the Coyotes (one entry per person).

We will then pool all entries who correctly predict the First Goal in any of four contests – last Thursday vs. San Jose, last Saturday vs. San Jose, yesterday vs. Phoenix and tonight vs. Phoenix. From that master group, one person will be randomly selected to receive a free LA Kings Fathead of their choice.

As always, here are the line combinations and defensive pairings that coach Darryl Sutter is expected to use:

FORWARDS

Healthy Scratches: Davis Drewiske, Jordan Nolan and Brad Richardson.

Based upon who was first off the ice at morning skate today, it looks like Jonathan Bernier will get the start in net.  And, believe it or not, the Coyotes are supposedly going with Mike Smith in goal again.  Should be fun.
