Extended highlights: Dwight King shines in return, Monarchs win 5-1

October 27, 2012 By John Hoven

With a 5-1 win over the Worcester Sharks earlier today, Manchester is now 4-1 on the season. Below are extended video highlights from a dominate performance in front of their home fans in New Hampshire.

Dwight King, fresh off of signing an AHL contract, played in his first game for the Monarchs since winning a Stanley Cup in Los Angeles. He had two assists in the game and was named the first star by local media.

Kings prospect Brandon Kozun picked up his first goal of the year, it turned out to be the game winner. He was the game’s second star.

In net, Martin Jones stopped 20 of 21 shots and was named the third star.

There was also a short handed goal from defenseman Slava Voynov and nice goal from Kings prospect Andy Andreoff.

After the footage from the ice you’ll get some post-game comments – including coach Mark Morris, Jones and King.
