Contest: First Goal – NHL playoff games 4/15/2012

April 15, 2012 By John Hoven

NHL playoffs 2012As announced yesterday, we’ve taken the MayorsManor First Goal Contest to a whole new level. By simply picking a few players, you could win a jersey or stick signed by the entire LA Kings team!

This edition of the First Goal Game will run through the remainder of the NHL Playoffs. Each morning we’ll post the games scheduled for that particular day. Your job is to guess who will score the first goal in each game, not for each team. However, to make things a little easier, you can take a player from BOTH teams.

For example, here’s what an entry would look like for the games scheduled today, Sunday 4/15/2012:

Nashville (Weber) at Detroit (Stuart)
Pitsburgh (Crosby) at Philadelphia (Simmonds)
New Jersey (Parise) at Florida (Versteeg)
Vancouver (Burrows) at Los Angeles (Richards)

The maximum number of correct entries today would be four, one for each game. Again, you’re trying to pick the first goal in the GAME, not one for each team.

We’ll track the number of correct entries and post an occasional leader board. The MayorsManor reader with the most correct submissions at the end of the NHL playoffs will win their choice of an LA Kings team signed jersey or stick!

Enter below to get started now.  Yesterday’s entries can be viewed here.

NOTE: This new contest will not take the place of the usual contest run exclusively during LA Kings games. Those will continue separately.
