And the NHL playoffs just keep rolling right along…
As does the playoff edition of our First Goal Contest (announced last weekend).
Please note this is a different version than the traditional MayorsManor First Goal Contest – where throughout LA’s first round series vs. Vancouver, if you correctly guess the Kings player who scores first, you could win an autographed puck from Dustin Brown. Entries for that contest will be accepted in a different article later today.
Here, you’re competing for an LA Kings team signed stick or jersey. Each morning we’ll post the games scheduled for that particular day and your job is to guess who will score the first goal in each game (not for each team). However, to make things a little easier, you can take a player from BOTH teams.
For example, here’s what an entry would look like for the games scheduled today, Sunday 4/22/2012:
Pittsburgh (Staal) at Philadelphia (Schenn)
Boston (Chara) at Washington (Ovechkin)
Los Angeles (Nolan) at Vancouver (D. Sedin)
Thus, the maximum number of correct entries today would be three – one for each game. Again, you’re trying to pick the first goal in the GAME.
We’ll track the number of correct entries and post a weekly leaderboard, here’s the most recent one.
At the end of the playoffs, the MayorsManor reader with the most correct submissions will win their choice of an LA Kings team signed jersey or stick!
It’s that easy, so enter below to get started now.
