Well that didn’t take long.
Just one game into his young NHL career, Alex Laferriere has already earned at least one well-known fan.
ESPN”s Pat McAfee took to the airwaves on Thursday to profess his new found love for the Kings 21-year-old forward following his performance against the visiting Colorado Avalanche one night earlier.
Fast forward to about the 5 minute mark of this video:

Despite a paper transaction sending him to AHL Ontario earlier today, Laferriere is expected to play his second NHL game on Saturday.

Dear John,
Am I crazy or does McLellan have an issue with Phoenix Copley? Having been a fan for over 50 years, there are only a few times I have felt compelled to comment on any of the Kings Sites. First lets go back to the playoffs last season…Korpisalo was not performing well yet even though Copley had done everything asked of him for the entire season, he did not get one start against Edmonton.
Now as my son and I sat at Crypto and watched Talbot play terrible on Wednesday, I couldn’t understand why he was the starter. For that matter even Rittich outperformed Talbot in the preseason, yet he was risked on waivers.
There was a definite feeling, at least in my section, that the Kings didn’t play confidently in front of Talbot.
Thoughts????
Totally agree with the above statement. They don’t have much confidence in Talbot Copley got them into the playoffs and he earned the chance to start. Let him play himself out of that situation and then give Talbot a chance
