Per tradition, following the official end of the Kings 2022-23 NHL season, players and management met with media to conduct exit interviews. For efficiency purposes, some players were grouped together. And while they were mostly random pairings, one group was rather intriguing due to a shared theme. Both Quinton Byfield and Joonas Korpisalo spent much of their time talking about the future.

The Kings need Byfield to show intensity, finish his checks , knock opposing players off the puck . The last few games looked like Byfield fell off when the Team needed him the most . Byfield is the Kings highest picks ever and so far is a disappointment . He cannot be a Negative in Playoff games and must improve and help the team .
