It all comes down to this — at least between the Reign and Barracuda. Wednesday night will mark the eighth and final time Ontario and San Jose will faceoff during the 2022-23 regular season.
Two weeks ago, the Reign skated to a 6-1 victory on home ice. Then, last Friday, the Barracuda welcomed their Pacific Division rival to NoCal and handed them a 4-2 loss, with both Ontario goals coming from Tyler Madden.

With Jordan Spence recalled to the NHL, Ontario’s defensive pairings for tonight’s game are in flux. He had been skating on the right side of Toby Björnfot. Sliding Helge Grans into his spot would likely be the easiest option. However, coach Marco Sturm may have something else up his sleeve come game time.
At forward, Sammy Fagemo was able to return from injury over the weekend, and even scored twice in his first game back on Saturday at Bakersfield. He’s expected to be back at RW2 against the Barracuda.
Unfortunately, fellow Kings prospect Alex Turcotte remains sidelined following an injury suffered on this play several weeks ago.
With only six healthy blueliners and another home game scheduled for Friday, it’s possible Ontario recalls Tyler Inamoto from the ECHL soon.
