Life in the AHL is often filled with back-to-back weekend games and the Ontario Reign are adding a little extra intrigue this time around. After dropping a game in San Jose on Friday, they hightailed it to Bakersfield. Waiting for them is a Condors team that is 6-3-0-1 over their last 10 games.
When the two clubs have faced off this season, four of them have been decided by a single goal — including a 3-2 Reign victory in Kern County last month. Kings prospect Sammy Fagemo scored in regulation that night, and then again in the shootout. However, he missed last night’s game and could be out tonight, as well. He’s listed as day-to-day.
Considering he has not even returned to skating yet in practice, fellow forward Alex Turcotte will remain out following an injury suffered on this play several weeks ago.
Sturm’s forward group will most likely look very similar to last night. However, there could be a few game-time decisions on guys like Nikita Pavlychev and Nate Schnarr (one of the players LA just acquired on Friday). More details on the latter can be found here:

Toby Bjornfot returned to the Reign blueline last night and he’s expected to play again vs. the Condors. Coach Marco Sturm will have to decide if Kim Nousiainen rotates back in after being a healthy scratch last night.
Goaltender Matt Villalta will give way in net to Cal Petersen.
