As the AHL’s best rivalry is set to kick off once again in San Diego tonight, we have a few Ontario Reign lineup notes to pass along…
For starters, forward Lias Andersson — who was banged up a little bit on the team’s recent trip to Calgary — did not practice with the team on Friday. However, we’re hearing he should be good to go for tonight. Should he draw in, expect him to be in his usual spot at LW1.
Despite coming off a win on Wednesday vs. the Wranglers, coach Marco Sturm mixed things up with his middle-6 forwards at yesterday’s skate. Aidan Dudas was up on the second line and Martin Chromiak was on the third line. Those two have had some chemistry at times lately, so we’ll have to wait and see if he keeps them separated.
ROSTER ADDS:
• Defenseman Tyler Inamoto and forward Brett Kemp have been recalled from loan to the @SwampRabbits
• Forwards Jack Becker and Hank Crone have been signed to professional tryout agreements

The Reign made four roster editions upon returning to SoCal from Calgary. And based on practice, several of them could see action in San Diego.
Veteran forward Nate Thompson was thought to be back by now. That doesn’t appear to be the case, so the configuration below is an educated guess.
In net, we’re expecting Cal Petersen to get the start.

Once again, I don’t get the scratches. Gaunce especially. He’s a coach on the ice. With Chromiak on a hot streak, why is he on the 2nd line with Quine and Dudas instead of being with TJ Tynan.?? Why start Petersen vs a much weaker SD team and not vs Calgary Sunday..?? I just have no confidence in Sturm as a HC…
