Hey Mayor,
Great stuff as always. After watching the Cup Finals – do you think Valeri Nushushkin would be on the Kings shopping list as a UFA? Not in the Johnny Hockey or Filip Forsberg category for an elite star winger but he’s a big LW with speed who the puck just seems to stick to in the o-zone. Good year, big playoffs, and due for bigger payday but seems like that would be cap friendly coming up from $2.5milAAV. His numbers seem vaguely pre-2022 Kempe.
Maybe if VM hadn’t had a hell of a playoffs. He will be getting a big pay raise this summer (and probably not with the Kings, I’d imagine).
Good size, good season. Not sure he’s the top line LW they’re looking for at this point.
Vilardi, Roy, #1 draft pick for Chychrun. He’s cheap and with stay at home Roy I think that would be the trade(if it happens), but Walker was skating during the playoffs, so I’m not a psychic but I think you should have a good cam and when he was healthy except for the last two years he was very offensive. But the LW on the 1st line is the tough guess to figure out.
Kevin Fiala is the new 1LW. Never mind. Now on to a LD and with the article earlier Arizona wants a lot for him, so Roy has trade value and Vilardi is the prospect I’d give up over Turcotte and Byfield. Plus with all the kids we can give up some draft picks. Should be exciting!
