Kings Of The Podcast: Ep. 129 – Return of Stutts, Plus Sturm to Ontario

June 20, 2022 By MayorsManor Staff

With the offseason moving right along — at least in LA and Anaheim — Kings Of The Podcast brings back one of our most popular guests, Mike Stothers. It’s a fun-filled chat, packed with story after story. Some of the topics discussed include:

– Crazy sports parents
– The Gulls-Reign rivalry
– Player Development
– Highs and Lows of his first season with the Anaheim Ducks
– Trevor Zegras, John Gibson, Anthony Stolarz, etc.
– Manchester vs. Ontario
– Chirping with Dallas Eakins
– Mason McTavish
– Kurtis MacDermid
– Boston vs. Philadelphia
– Funny moments in OHL Owen Sound
– And so much more

Still want more? In the third period, we’ll talk LA Kings news items, including a few World Juniors tidbits on Brandt Clarke, Brock Faber, and Sammy Helenius. Plus, we delve into Marco Sturm taking over as head coach for AHL Ontario.

Good show, the one variable with the Ducks is the owner. He’s going to have sweaty hands when he has to open the check book to sign the young 3. The Ducks have a history signing players on value contracts or trading players that wanted more than they were willing to pay. That makes me wonder who has been the Ducks highest paid player?
