LA Kings Projected Lineup vs. Detroit Red Wings on Saturday 1/8

January 8, 2022 By MayorsManor Staff

For the first time since early December, Kings coach Todd McLellan is ready to Go See Cal.

With the Red Wings in town for their only visit this season, LA will turn to Cal Petersen in net, his first appearance since giving up four goals in a loss at Vancouver back on December 6.

Over the course of the season thus far, Petersen has appeared in 11 games and posted a 5-5-1 record. Tonight will also be the first time in his career that the 27-year-old netminder has faced Detroit.

LA Kings roster moves…

Austin Wagner recalled, Sammy Fagemo to AHL

As noted yesterday, don't sweat it. Kings have 12 healthy forwards. Fagemo was the extra the other night, he's needed in Ontario for Reign game tonight.

More to come later in lineup article.
