For now, the waters have calmed. Coming off of back-to-back wins over the weekend vs. Montreal and Buffalo, coach Todd McLellan and his Kings players are feeling better about themselves. At least for the time being, the conversation seems to have moved away from the worry of losing Drew Doughty and Sean Walker. Further, the bleeding from an early season winless streak seems to be under control. Over the past few days, the focus has been more about building upon the team’s recent success and finding a way to keep things flowing in a positive direction.
As expected, Andreas Athanasiou has shed the red jersey… He's largely been skating in drills with Lizotte and Kaliyev this morning. pic.twitter.com/WHlhg6DGHB

Forward Andreas Athanasiou has been activated from injured reserve. However, indications are McLellan won’t buck the trend of keeping a winning lineup together and slide AA somewhere into the bottom-6. How long will Athanasiou have to wait? It’s a question that won’t be answered until at least Friday.
