Tonge’s Ticket: Sunday’s Best Bets for Kings v Blues

January 24, 2021 By Andy Tonge

This is the second article in a new series on MayorsManor. Yesterday, we broke down some betting basics. Today, we jump right into things…

With the Kings playing back-to-back games against the Blues, look for both teams to turn to swap out their goalies on Sunday. In a matchup between Ville Husso and Jonathan Quick, the Kings should have an edge. Let’s look at a few bets we like for Sunday’s tilt.

Kings +163

After a 1-2-2 start, the Kings need to kick it into gear if they want to content for a playoff spot. We think they’ll be hungry and represent good value on the money line.

Total 1st period goals over 1.5

Three of the first five Kings games have features two first period goals. Interestingly enough, both times the Kings played an opponent for the second time this season, there were two first period goals. We think that trend continues.

Ryan O’Reilly to score +195

The recently named captain was visually frustrated during Saturday’s contest, despite ending the game with two assists. He’s too good of a player to not have a goal on the season and tonight will be the night he lights the lamp.
