Following their 4-2 loss on Saturday, the Kings will try to regroup for a rematch with the St. Louis Blues on Sunday afternoon.
Heading into back-to-back games coming off a travel day on Friday, coach Todd McLellan opted to go without a morning skate today. Instead, the team will only have meetings at the hotel. With that in mind, the projection below is less clear.
Kurtis MacDermid did not have a strong game, so we believe Olli Maatta will replace him on defense. Additionally, McLellan has referenced several times that he doesn’t want players sitting for an extended time. As such, we’d expect Jaret Anderson-Dolan to finally get a game in. His ability to play all three forward positions could see him draw in at any spot on the fourth line. We’re just assuming if JAD plays, his first game of the season could come at wing. Most likely that wouldn’t be at the expense of Carl Grundstrom, as he brings a physical element to the game, something needed against the Blues.
