Kings fans are up in arms about the terrible start to the season. Complaints of lack of leadership from losing JW, Stoll, and RR being listed as one of the causes. People, those players were all here last season and THE KINGS DIDN’T MAKE THE PLAYOFFS WITH THEM! This is a non-playoff team we’re talking about. There are also people saying the team is too slow. No, that’s not exactly the case. Some are saying Sutter has lost the room. He hasn’t lost it yet but the players are not as attentive as before either. Some say Jones is better than JQ. No, not the problem. The defense is not good enough. Well, that’s a bit more accurate.

DL is a like an top, big league hitter in a slump. He whiffed on not buying MR out, he whiffed on thinking he would VV back after paying a number one pick for Sekera who he didn’t get re-signed. It appears he may have made the worst trade of him GM tenure with the Lucic deal. Only time will tell. By trading for Lucic he now has to pay Kopi or look like a fool for making the Lucic trade. DL is a smart guy but simply over played his hand. Mistakes were made.

The Kings absolutely need to play McNabb and Forbort now and hope they can both become top-four D-men. If they don’t, the Kings hole is going to get bigger and they may not be able to dig out from it in the Lombardi-Sutter era.
