MayorsManor Live: Playoff Podcast with The Kid

NHL 2015 Stanley Cup Playoff Bracket

It’s time to have a little fun. Perhaps we get too caught up at times with line combinations, why teams didn’t make the playoffs, and which players will sign with certain teams. Even with the regular season ending on Saturday and the Stanley Cup Playoffs set to begin shortly, there has been no shortage of news breaking over the last 72 hours. Still, let’s stop and take a quick breather. Today’s podcast is more of a personal one. My 9-year-old son is addicted to hockey. It’s not something that has been pushed on him – heck, I’d rather he was a left-handed pitcher (however, that’s a different story for a different day) – but more something he has gravitated to on his own. He is obsessed; watches and talks hockey non-stop.

As a reward for good grades and being a pretty good little rugrat, in general, I told him we’d do a show together at some point this season. Now, 82-games later, he’s joining MayorsManor Live for a playoff preview. Everything you hear was all him. We didn’t discuss anything ahead of time and recorded live in one take.
