Puck Probability: Odds for Kings at Stars, November 22

November 21, 2014 By John Hoven

Stars Dallas NHL hockeyWith the Kings set to complete their three-game season series with the Stars in Dallas on Saturday night, we have our first return guest here on the Puck Probability series. Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News was so much fan last time around, he’s back to help us close out the set between these two former division rivals. Since he has several longshots among his list of things that just might happen, we’ll let him go first this time…

Odds by Mike Heika:

1:1 Dustin Brown and Antoine Roussel will exchange words that cannot be classified as either proper English or proper French.

50:1 Kari Lehtonen is able to repeat the shutout that he earned Nov. 13 in Los Angeles, stopping 27 shots.

75:1 Stars can string together back-to-back home victories when they are 2-5-4 at the American Airlines Center this season.

100:1 Kings coach Darryl Sutter will be waiting patiently while the Stars honor recent Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Mike Modano along with fellow Hall-of-Famers Brett Hull, Joe Nieuwendyk and Ed Belfour in a pre-game ceremony that could stretch 25 minutes.

Odds by MayorsManor:

2:1 – Newly acquired Stars defenseman Jason Demers, acquired from San Jose on Friday, will score in his first game with his new club.

30:1 – John Klingberg will skate more minutes than Drew Doughty.

40:1 – Andy Andreoff will not only play, but record a point.

85:1 – In honor of the Mike Modano pre-game ceremony, only American-born players will score for the Kings – putting extra pressure on Trevor Lewis and Matt Greene.

165:1 – Jeff Schultz is in the line-up for Los Angeles
