Puck Probability: Odds for Hurricanes at Kings, November 20

November 20, 2014 By John Hoven

Carolina NHL hockey

Coming off a 5-2 win over the visiting Florida Panthers on Tuesday, the Kings will now play host to the Carolina Hurricanes, a team that beat LA on the East Coast earlier this month. Marian Gaborik and Anze Kopitar returned from injury that night, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 3-2 loss. Tonight, they’ll look for redemption and to prevent a season sweep by the Hurricanes.

We were cloase to having Jim ‘Boomer’ Gordon of NHL Network Radio join us a few weeks ago, but everything didn’t come together before the game in Dallas. This time around, everything went smoothly, so we have some notes to share regarding what we think just might happen tonight…

Odds by MayorsManor:

3:2 Dustin Brown records two points

5:1 Tyler Toffoli leads the Kings in shots, with a mimimum of five

12:1 Andy Andreoff plays more than six minutes in the game

50:1 Andrei Loktionov signs a one day contract to return to the Hurricanes and scores the GWG

250:1 Drew Doughty plays less than 27 minutes

650:1 Matt Greene or Robyn Regehr score a goal

Odds by Jim Gordon:

6:5 – Justin Williams scores against his old team

5:2 – Bob Miller tells a Hartford Whaler story

7:2 – Forslund and Tracy revisit Tim Gleason/Jack Johnson trade on the Carolina broadcast

5:1 – Forslund and Tracy remind us that in the Drew Doughty 2008 Draft, Carolina passed on Erik Karlsson to select Zach Boychuk

6:1 – Both broadcast crews reference both captains from 2003 Draft, along with Jeff Carter and Mike Richards

7:1 – Justin Faulk plays more minutes than Drew Doughty

14:1 – Alexander Semin scores his first goal of the year

30:1 – Canes beat the Kings in overtime, even though Carolina is 13-34 in OT over the last 4 years

40:1 – Cam Ward lets old teammate Jamie McBain score on him

1,000:1 – Canes recall Brody Sutter and he scores against Uncle Darryl

5,000:1 – Nathan Gerbe fights Dwight King
