What about Vey? I don’t think he is exempt from waivers this year (McNabb Andreoff in the same boat). This guy is too skilled to let walk.
The challenge with Vey is where does he fit? The top three center spots in LA are taken (and so is the fourth if Sutter was to use the same line-up as the playoffs). We’ll address the Vey situation further in an upcoming article.
I just can’t see them letting him get snagged by another team on waivers for nothing. Too much skill. He can also play RW. Huge mistake in my opinion to let him go. He certainly would not clear waivers in my opinion. If he came down to him or Nolan, I would keep Vey as an asset.
