AUDIO: Ron Hextall conference call, leaving LA for Flyers

On Monday afternoon news broke that Ron Hextall would be leaving the Kings organization and rejoining the Philadelphia Flyers.  It’s essentially a lateral move, as he’ll be the Assistant GM there as well.  Regardless, a few hours later media were invited to ask him questions during a conference call, where he tried to help everybody make sense of the decision…

    let’s be honest here: Hextall wants to be a GM and his “gut” feeling is that the move to Philly will allow him to get more media and more exposure with other teams that will eventually land him a GM position. Period.
