Following the Kings 2-1 OT loss in St. Louis on Tuesday night, here’s what Rob Scuderi had to share…
On Jonathan Quick’s blunder:
It happens. I don’t think we, overall…I couldn’t say that we deserved to win the game. But we were certainly starting to turn the tide in our way. It’s a mistake. It happens. Sometimes when it’s the goalie, it just sticks out that much more. Everybody makes mistakes. It’s worth one notch on the tally, and we gotta try to get it back on Thursday.”
On if they thought they could win after Justin Williams’ goal:
“Yeah, well you’re hoping that it’s a deflator for the other team. So late in the third period, right before overtime, and I did think that we built on that. We played well in the overtime. We had some good chances. We were starting to get the puck going north quicker, and that created more offensive opportunities, but at the end of the day; it wasn’t to be.”
