Slava Voynov set a career high with three assists against the Nashville Predators on Monday night. It also tied his career high of three points in a single game. For the young Russian, who has arguably been the team’s best defenseman this season, it was a quick turnaround from his minus-3 on Saturday.
Back in the locker room he shared a few thoughts about the Kings 5-1 win…
– On if he felt particularly strong in the game: “No, usual game, same game. Felt the same way. Thanks to my (teammates) for the three assists.”
– On the return of Alec Martinez: ” I think he played very well today. No mistakes, was joining the attack. Seemed like old times.’
– On defeating Nashville for the first time this season: “It’s very important because we’ve played against this team and lost two times. So for the last game we needed to win for sure.”
