Kings forward Kyle Clifford shared a few thoughts after today’s practice…
– On if the team is angry after the loss last night: “I think we have to keep our composure. I wouldn’t say ‘anger’ is the word. I would just say…Motivated.”
– On the mood on the plane after two consecutive losses: “We just have to re-group. We know we have better (in us). You know, as individuals, everybody just has to chip in a little bit more. So the mood is – we have to stay confident. It’s a short season, so we can’t really start turning on ourselves.”
– On if San Jose’s size gave the Kings trouble: “I don’t think so. We have big strong boys in here. We compete hard. We just have to dig down a little bit more.”

I like the message coming from the room.
I like his attitude. This is not the time for them to blame each other… there are rookies and there will be rookie mistakes; Team chemistry isn’t like last year and odds are against them just by being the reigning “CHAMPS”. They need to dig deep and do some soul searching… HOW BADLY DO THEY WANT THIS ONE? AS BAD IF NOT MORE THAN LAST YEAR??? Go champs..we;re here for you all!!! GO KINGS!!
Drew needs to step up his defensive play and not allow guys to get by him like last night’s 3rd period goal. Stop worrying about scoring your first goal of the season and focus on your job.
We need se bigger size and toughness on the blue line.. Very weak right now without Greene and Mitchell..
