MayorsManor First Goal Contest: Game 8 – Kings at Blue Jackets

Think fast – who leads the Kings in points right now? Anze Kopitar? Dustin Brown? Jeff Carter maybe? No, no and no.

It’s still Kyle Clifford with five points (one goal, four assists).  However, this is the First Goal Contest, so you may want to look in a different direction.

Brown has been heating up lately, scoring three goals in the last two games – all on the power play.

Carter also has three goals on the season.

Kopitar has 12 goals in 22 career games vs. the Blue Jackets.

Justin Williams and Jarret Stoll notched their first goals on Saturday. Meanwhile, Drew Doughty and Mike Richards haven’t been so lucky.

So, who will score the first goal tonight?

Just don’t take Dustin Penner. He’ll be a healthy scratch tonight – something we looked at here earlier today.

For anybody new to the scene here, this contest is simple. Place a comment below with the LAST NAME of the LA Kings player you think will score first vs. the Blue Jackets (one entry per person).
