How does the likes of Tyler Toffoli, a rookie with the Manchester Monarchs, and hardly any experience in the big leagues, get to attend training camp? When there are guys who have played for the monarchs for over a year with a better skill set? I understand he deserves an opportunity, he scores goals but he is a terrible skater and he is not as deserving as some of the other players on the Kings AHL affiliate.
Better skill set than Toffoli? He has twice as many goals as any other Monarchs player. And he’s the Kings #1 rated prospect.
He might be able to score but he won’t be playing against young kids, it is a two-way game in the NHL, and you have to be able to skate, and he is a below average skater.
