MayorsManor First Goal Contest: Game 6 – Predators at Kings

MayorsManor readers have been picking Jeff Carter by the dozens in recent contests and that does seem like a smart pick – he’s scored in three straight games and buried a snipe in the shootout vs. Vancouver on Monday night.  He’s played Nashville 11 times in his NHL career, recording seven goals and 14 points.  Can he keep things moving tonight?

Anze Kopitar, the Kings’ leading points producer five years running, has 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists) in 23 career games vs. the Predators.

Of course, there are plenty of other players on the Kings to choose from in tonight’s First Goal Contest.

First, for anybody new to the scene here, this contest is easy to enter – simply place a comment below with the LAST NAME of the LA Kings player you think will score first vs. the Predators tonight (one entry per person). We’ll take all of the correct entries and pool them together. From that group, one random winner will get a prize.

Today you’re playing for a prize pack from Hockey Soda Energy.  It will include a t-shirt, hockey puck and 4-pack of Hockey Energy Soda (must be 16 years of age or older).  If you’re not familiar with Hockey Energy, they offer several different products, all designed to improve protein metabolism, reduces fatigue and appetite – plus sharpen perception. So, after you enter the MayorsManor First Goal Contest, be sure to head over to their site and check out all the good stuff they offer.

Now, to help you with your selection/entry/guess, these are the expected line combinations LA coach Darryl Sutter will be starting the game with…

Dustin Brown – Anze Kopitar – Justin Williams

Kyle Clifford – Mike Richards – Jeff Carter

Simon Gagne – Jarret Stoll – Trevor Lewis

Dwight King – Colin Fraser – Jordan Nolan

If you like defenseman, they’ll be paired up like this…

Rob Scuderi – Drew Doughty

Alec Martinez – Slava Voynov

Davis Drewiske – Jake Muzzin

Healthy Scratches: Andrew Bodnarchuk, Dustin Penner and Brad Richardson

For a look back at some Kings and Preds talk from late last season, click here to listen to the MayorsManor Live radio show with special guest Stu Grimson – a former King and now broadcaster with Nashville.

Good luck in the contest!
