Final rosters were due to the NHL this afternoon. It has now been confirmed, Anze Kopitar and Willie Mitchell will start the year as injured non-roster players..
That leaves the Kings initial 23-man roster as follows:
Forwards – Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter, Kyle Clifford, Colin Fraser, Simon Gagne. Dwight King, Trevor Lewis, Jordan Nolan, Dustin Penner, Mike Richards, Brad Richardson, Anthony Stewart, Jarret Stoll, Justin Williams
Defensemen – Drew Doughty, Davis Drewiske, Matt Greene, Alec Martinez, Jake Muzzin, Rob Scuderi and Slava Voynov
Goaltenders – Jonathan Quick and Jonathan Bernier
Injured – Kopitar and Mitchell (Just to clarify the situation – they are not going on injured reserve. So, as injured non-roster players, they are eligible to play when ready. However, the team would need to remove one player from the 23-man roster for each player returning to the line-up.)
Barring a last minute change by coach Darryl Sutter, these are the expected line combos:
Penner-Carter-Williams
Gagne-Richards-Brown
King-Stoll-Lewis
Clifford-Fraser-Nolan
Scuderi-Doughty
Martinez-Voynov
Drewiske-Greene
Healthy Scratches: Muzzin, Richardson, Stewart
We’ll have more with Mitchell up on the site later tonight. He gave a full interview after skating and testing his knee earlier today.

I can’t wait to see what Stewart brings to the team when he gets into the line-up.
