The following reports are from games played through end of day Sunday, January 14th.
ONTARIO REIGN (AHL)
Due to the Ontario Reign featuring a large volume of LA Kings prospects this season, each tracker will feature a select number of them on a rotating basis – largely culled from key performances for the prior week.
The Reign would sweep their three-game mini-series against the Barracuda with a win 4-1 win on Tuesday before heading north of the border for a back-to-back with the Calgary Wranglers. They would fall 3-2 in the first game after allowing a late third-period goal but would rebound with a 2-1 win, tying the season series between the two division rivals at two a piece.
Samuel Fagemo, Left/Right Wing (50th overall in 2019)
2023-2024 Stats: 20 goals, 13 assists, plus-5, 6 PIM in 24 games played
With consecutive two-goal games this week, Fagemo continued his meteoric rise towards the top of the AHL goal leader standings, putting the winger only three back of the league lead in 12 fewer games. Against San Jose, he would open up the scoring with a goal off the rush and would later add an assist plus the empty-netter to close the deal. The sole scorer for the Reign in the first of the Calgary games, both of his goals would be powerplay one-timers directly from his office, a.k.a. the middle of the left circle.

Akil Thomas, Center (51st overall in 2018)
2023-2024 Stats: 13 goals, 11 assists, even plus/minus, 18 PIM in 35 games played
Hungry to continue his New Year’s surge, Thomas outdanced the Barracuda netminder for a shorthanded goal to put the Reign up 3-0. In Friday’s rematch against the Wranglers, he would open up scoring with a shot off the rush and then pot the eventual game-winner, a powerplay goal with three seconds left in the second period. The multi-talented forward has 10 points in his last 10 games.

Jacob Ingham, Goalie (175th overall in 2018)
2023-2024 Stats: 1.96 GAA, .941 SV%, 0 SO, and 3 wins in 4 games played
Impressing with his play rather than his frequent flyer miles, Ingham thwarted a Calgary comeback in the week’s final game, turning away 15 third-period shots for a total of 36 saves and win for the Reign.
There's a reason @JacobIngham_ was ranked as the Kings top goalie prospect 2yrs ago (see below).
Tonight was vintage Iggy. Made 36 saves. He's 3-0 in his 3 Reign starts.
Some may have forgotten him, as he missed last yr following back surgery. I didn't.https://t.co/TcZ5rNu9Yd

In a back-to-back tilt with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, the Drakkar would suffer the misfortune of being shut out 4-0 in the first game but would return the favor, rebounding with a 4-0 win in the second game. Playing on the third pairing, Booth had three SOG, two hits, and was a plus-1 in those games. The Drakkar sit atop the league with a nine-point cushion between them and their closest competitor.
