With time winding down in regulation on Thursday night, as the Kings were looking to get a rare win on home ice this season, most of the arena was holding their breath. Not only because Florida had just cut LA’s lead to 2-1 with about eight minutes still to go in the third period, but more likely more because PL Dubois appeared to injure his left leg as he crashed into the post opposite Panthers netminder Sergei Bobrovsky.

LA’s biggest offseason acquisition immediately headed to the dressing room and did not return to action. The Kings went on to defeat the Panthers, yet no update on Dubois’ status was available during postgame conversations.
In checking with various sources this morning, Mayor’s Manor has learned that Dubois will not skate at the team’s 11am practice today. For now, he’s being listed as day-to-day. Additional information should be known after he is evaluated again tomorrow.
Since coming over in a trade with Winnipeg, the 25-year-old forward has eight points (including four goals) in 15 games this season. He’s also had a few different linemates this season. On Thursday, he was playing with Jaret Anderson-Dolan for the first time, after skating with rookie Alex Laferriere most of the year.
