Coming off their first victory of the season on Friday night in San Diego, the Ontario Reign now head north to Bakersfield. Saturday night will conclude their back-to-back weekend set.
Kings prospect Martin Chromiak picked up his first goal of 2023-24 in last night’s 3-2 win over the Gulls. Brandt Clarke and Akil Thomas also picked up assists on TJ Tynan’s game winning goal.
Without a morning skate today, it is a bit challenging to put together a full roster projection for Saturday. There may be a few game time decisions at forward. Coach Marco Sturm had played Cole Krygier on the blueline in Ontario’s first three starts, yet. Gave him last night off in favor of Kim Nousiainen.
In net, David Rittich played his third straight game against San Diego. For tonight’s tilt with Bakersfield, we’re expecting Erik Portillo between the pipes.
Last season, Sturm and the Reign compiled a 4-3-1 record against the Condors.
