Projected Lineups for LA Kings vs. Sharks in San Jose

September 30, 2023 By Scott Coffman

For only the second time in five preseason games thus far, the Kings will play in an actual NHL arena on Saturday night. It will be the tail end of a back-to-back weekend series, where they’ll see the Sharks for the first time in 2023-24.

As we noted earlier in the week, although the Kings players and coaches who went to Australia have returned to Southern California, most of them won’t return to game action until Tuesday night in Downtown LA.

Friday night in San Diego saw the Kings skate to a 4-3 victory over the Ducks. Alex Turcotte, Sammy Fageno and Toby Björnfot were in the lineup for that one and are believed to have traveled to NoCal with the club.

Jordan Spence and Cole Krygier took part in this morning’s practice at TSPC in El Segundo, so there’s a good chance they’re out for tonight.

Meanwhile, Jaret Anderson-Dolan and Andreas Englund will be made available for the game in San Jose.

Tyler Madden took a rough hit into the boards late in the game against the Ducks. He remained on the bench and eventually returned for a few shifts, yet we’ll assume he is out for tonight.

Kings Projected Lineup vs. Sharks:

Pinelli – Thomas – Chromiak
JAD – Maltsev – Laferriere
Hudon – Turcotte – Fagemo
Ward – Helenius – Doty

Englund – Clarke
Moverare – Björnfot
Connauton – Hicketts

Rittich
Bednard

Sharks lineup coming soon. They are 1-2 so far in the preseason after a win against Vegas and two losses to Anaheim.

Granlund will sit again, but Bordeleau will center Eklund and Kunin tonight
