In front of another crowd topping 13,000 fans, the Kings and Coyotes skated in their second and final game of the NHL Global Series event in Australia on Saturday night (LA time). Kings coach Todd McLellan and his players were able to gain a small bit of revenge for their loss in the series opener, locking down a 3-2 victory in the rematch.
Adrian Kempe once again found the back of the net, however that wasn’t enough to lock down No. 1 star of the game honors — as shown in the video below:
The Kings will play their next preseason game in Anaheim on Sunday. Yet, that game — along with Wednesday’s game in Las Vegas — will not feature the players who went to Australia. It will be the ‘B’ group (which includes Alex Laferriere, Frankie Pinelli, and potentially Brandt Clarke) in those games. The ‘A’ group is flying back to SoCal soon and will return to the ice on Thursday at Toyota Sports Performance Center.
