With a win on Thursday over Columbus, the Kings have pushed their record to 7-0-1 in their past eight games and they’ll be looking for another two points vs. the visiting Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.
Coach Todd McLellan has recently indicated he’s in no hurry to move away from his goaltending rotation; which means it will be Joonas Korpisalo back between the pipes for this one, after Pheonix Copley had the start last time out.
Forward Kevin Fiala is expected to begin skating soon — while that’s a positive development — he isn’t quite ready to return just yet. Ditto for Sean Durzi. Both remain out and are listed as day-to-day.
McLellan is expected to make one change to his lineup tonight. After getting a few practices in with the team this week, it appears as if defenseman Jordan Spence will draw back in on the third pair and be used on the Kings second power play unit.
