The point streak continued on Saturday night against Vancouver, but the Kings couldn’t put the Canucks away and lost 3-2 in a shootout. Now with points in nine straight, 7-0-2, they look to make it 10 against a lot of their old friends in Calgary.
Unfortunately, Kevin Fiala and Sean Durzi are still not ready for game action, but in a positive development both have resumed skating this week. Todd McLellan will continue his goaltending swap with Pheonix Copley getting the start tonight.
As most Kings fans know Darryl Sutter led teams play a heavy checking style and this has caused two changes from McLellan’s lineup from Saturday night. Jordan Spence will come out of the lineup and Sean Walker will replace him. Zack MacEwen will be back on the fourth line giving them a heavier presence the Kings wanted when they traded for him at the deadline. With MacEwen going into the lineup, Arthur Kaliyev will be a healthy scratch.
