It happened! The Reign won their game on Wednesday night against Tucson, breaking their losing streak, getting back into the win column and it could not have happened in better fashion. With a 4-0 shutout by Cal Petersen the Reign look to bring that momentum and their mentality back to winning hockey games. Additionally the next two games are at home at Toyota Arena where the Reign will have the fans on their side and back into the game.
The Reign were boosted on Wednesday by the return of Alex Turcotte. Turcotte added an assist on Aiden Dudas’ second period shorthanded goal, and got into it very early drawing a penalty in the first minute of the game. His tenacity and overall hard nosed play will help the Reign tremendously.
Cal Petersen will get the start again after recording the shutout in Tuscon. Not surprising if the veteran will earn both starts this weekend in Ontario. Based on morning skate today, this is how we believe the Reign will line up for tonight’s game.
