For the first time this season, the LA Kings will wear their 90s inspired alternate white jerseys with chrome helmets in consecutive games. Things worked out just fine with those threads last night in Anaheim, as the Kings skated to a dominating 6-3 win over the Ducks.
Heading into the second-half of their back-to-back weekend set, coach Todd McLellan now has a key decision to make. Most likely, Saturday’s game against the visiting Coyotes was earmarked for goalie Jonathan Quick. However, with Pheonix Copley ejected from the game last night, his veteran netminder had to come in and play cleanup (and also secure the win in net). Is McLellan now rethinking thigs and possibly turning back to Copley again? We’ll assume not, as Quick only played 20:24 at the Honda Center, for his first game action since Jan. 28 at Tampa Bay. It’s at least an option, though, as Copley has been cleared by the NHL following his match penalty.
Confirmed:
No suspension for LA Kings goalie Pheonix Copley coming off the match penalty last night.
No fine. Nada.
As you were.

Much more likely is a change on the blueline. Look for Toby Bjornfot to replace veteran Alex Edler on the third pairing.
What about Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun, you ask? See here:
