After being off since last Sunday in Arizona, the Ontario Reign return to action on Friday night for the first of a back-to-back weekend set vs. the Condors. Game one of the home-and-home games will be played in Bakersfield. Even though the two clubs have already played each other four times this season, only one of those contests came in Kern County; with the Condors skating to a 3-1 win there back in mid-November.
Their most recent matchup came earlier this month in Ontario, where the Reign put up a 5-2 victory. Kings prospect Quinton Byfield had a hat trick in that game. And speaking of the 20-year-old center, Mayor’s Manor editor John Hoven reported earlier today that he is not expected to be called back up to LA this week. In other roster news, the Kings have reassigned Rasmus Kupari, Sammy Fagemo, and Toby Bjornfot to Ontario. None of that trio are expected to play for Ontario tonight.
Look for some paper transactions soon. Kings will send a few players down. However, don't expect them to play for Ontario tonight.
