Oh, what a difference a day or two makes.
On Thursday, the NHL and Adidas rolled out their 2022-23 Reverse Retro jersey program using the tagline, ‘History Never Repeats.’
Well, that’s not exactly true in all circumstances.
In an area of the country already steeped in U.S. history, the Kings added to it on Saturday in an unfortunately nostalgic manner.
To properly set the stage, here’s a brief note from our pregame article earlier yesterday…
Doughty loves playing against the best players in the world yet missed both games vs. Washington and Alex Ovechkin last season (November 17 in LA and the road rematch in December). The last time they were on the ice together was February 2020. In that game, LA led 2-1 before Ovechkin recorded a hat trick in the third period to give his team a victory. Doughty was on the ice for the last two goals. Don’t think for a minute he’s forgotten.
Two days after the aforementioned ‘History Never Repeats’ campaign launched, LA entered the third period against Washington holding a 2-0 lead and… while it wasn’t exactly the same thing; it was close enough…

Here's the question…
With Iafallo on the shelf for a bit and Edler now back… Is Moverare headed back to Ontario (likely)… And, if so, which forward might be recalled from Ontario on Mon/Tue?
Kupari? Fagemo? Thomas? Helenius? Andersson? Tynan?
