For those who haven’t heard, the Kings and Ducks will play a best-of-three preseason series this month. It kicks off tonight at Crypto Arena in Los Angeles. They’ll rematch again on Tuesday in Anaheim, followed by the event conclusion on Saturday back in Downtown LA.
With GM Rob Blake expected to send a large group of players down to the AHL on Monday, this will most likely be the last NHL exhibition action for several players. It should also bring the return of Sean Walker, who hasn’t played a game in nearly a year. He damaged his ACL and MCL on October 25, 2021 vs. the St. Louis Blues.
Earlier today, we took a look at the likelihood of him being ready for Opening Night in a few weeks — and the Kings other options on defense, if needed — in an article here.

John,
As always, love all your content! How has Vilardi looked so far in camp? Can he possibly hold down a RW2/RW3 consistently?
** For your entertainment, I own a 1992 Sandstrom authentic jersey, complete with the Kings 25th Anniversary patch, and the NHL’s 75th Anniversary patch. Used to wear it extensively back in the day.
He’s looked relaxed and comfortable. Producing and smiling. Expect him to make the Opening Night Roster.
And that’s a NICE jersey!
