Let the games shuffling begin.
With Alex Edler injured in warmups Monday night, the Kings have recalled Jacob Moverare. Hence, the game of dominos that created.
Most of the time, AHL games are largely held on weekends. However, this season, the Reign feature a healthy dose of weekday games — including hosting the Henderson Silver Knights at Toyota Arena on Tuesday night.
Although coach Marco Sturm will be without Moverare for this one, he’s at least able to counter that news with something positive. Kim Nousiainen, who has missed the first few games this season, is set to make his 2022-23 debut.
In net, Kings prospect Matt Villalta — and his new mask — will take over between the pipes for his first start of the young campaign.
The same 12 forwards from Sunday’s loss to Bakersfield will return, just with Tyler Madden and Taylor Ward flipping their assignments at RW2 and RW3.
