With another AHL season about to begin on Friday night, excitement is plentiful in Ontario today. Coming off a year in which the Reign posted an all-time best power play and saw more than a dozen of their players get NHL games with the Kings, the entire organization is hungry for more. Finishing second in the Pacific Division and exiting the Calder Cup playoffs early wasn’t what anybody had in mind last May.
Now, armed with a fresh batch of LA Kings prospects, coupled with a nucleus of returning players, first-year head coach Marco Sturm is ready to lead the Reign toward greater success.
Marco Sturm Shares Final Thoughts on Kings Prospects at NHL Rookie Faceoff
Kicking things off will be a home game against the visiting Abbotsford Canucks – a team Ontario did well against early last year, before ultimately settling for a 3-3-0-2 record in 2021-22.

That’s a decent line-up. I think it gets even better once they insert Chromiak, Turcotte and Madden back in.
